Circles is a work I have been playing for while now in different instances. It is a growing composition for live synthesizers or wind organs and AudioMulch. In most performances I perform it with an ARP Odyssey and MFOS WSG/01, but also performed it various times with 2 bontempi wind organs.
This composition I started working on after experiencing a live performance of a work by La Monte Young. Not that my performance can be compared with the work of La Monte Young, but with this I try to create the same experience.For this EP, which is the second time I recorded Circles (the first time, an really early version, not yet being released) I used the live recording made on May 3rd at STEIM in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This was for a Moving Furniture Records showcase, together with Cinema Perdu and Modelbau (Frans de Waard).
